Dr. Satyen Madkaiker has been living in Jacksonville since 2001 and has been in private practice there since 2003, serving patients in St. Johns, Duval, and Clay counties.
Dr. Satyen Madkaiker began his medical journey by earning his medical degree and residency at Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai, India after which he pursued further training at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the UK. Upon arriving in the United States, he completed a Psychiatry Residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania, followed by a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Madkaiker is board-certified in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He has previously held the position of Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at the Baptist group of hospitals. He maintains affiliations with St. Vincent's Hospital and Memorial Hospital. In the past, he has been a Clinical Associate in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Florida.
Dr. Madkaiker has worked extensively with patients with various psychiatric disorders and substance abuse issues. He prioritizes accurate diagnosis and individualized treatment plans involving medications and therapies tailored to each patient. He has received comprehensive training and has extensive experience in evidence-based patient care.
