About Dr. Satyen Madkaiker, MD, FAPADr. Satyen Madkaiker has served patients in St. Johns, Duval, and Clay counties since establishing his private practice in Jacksonville, Florida, in 2003. He has resided in the area since 2001.
Dr. Madkaiker's medical education includes earning his medical degree and completing his residency at Topiwala National Medical College in Mumbai, India, followed by further training at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in the United Kingdom. In the United States, he completed a Psychiatry Residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania and a Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania.Board-certified in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology,
Dr. Madkaiker has held significant leadership and academic positions, including Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at Baptist Health. He has previously served as a Clinical Associate in Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Florida.
With extensive experience in treating diverse psychiatric disorders and substance abuse issues, Dr. Madkaiker emphasizes accurate diagnosis and personalized treatment plans, combining medication management and tailored therapies. He is highly skilled in evidence-based patient care.
Dr. Madkaiker is particularly recognized for his expertise in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and Ketamine Infusion Therapy, both effective treatments for depression and PTSD. His proficiency in these areas is supported by over 25 years of clinical practice, academic teaching, and research.
